The Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria, in collaboration with UNISA Music Foundation, is pleased to announce the arrival in South Africa of the Italian maestro Danilo Mascetti, who will perform in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Cape Town and Hermanus in the period from 9 to 19 March 2024.
Born in 1992, Danilo Mascetti is an Italian pianist well-known for his intense performances and original programming, in which he manages to combine traditional repertoire with less known piano works. He is Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music of London and he had performed all over Europe with orchestras such as the Thessaloniki State Orchestra, the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symphonic State Orchestra of Craiova. From 2014 he was part in numerous concerts all around the world: being first in London, then in China, Japan, New York, Russia, South Africa, and Morocco, he was able to form connections with the most prestigious orchestras, such as the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra Hradec Králové, and the NYCA Symphony Orchestra. Particularly worth mentioning are his collaborations with the Kyoto International Music Students Festival and the New York Concert Artists.
His concerts will be held as per the following schedule:

- Sunday 17th March h1:00 pm– Ghenwa’s Culinary Club, 11 Lourensford Wine Estate, Somerset West, Cape Town.
- Tuesday 19th March h7:00 pm – Overstrand Concert Society, 66 Duiker Street, Hermanus.
