The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is one of the longest-running initiatives promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Launched in 2016 to highlight quality, sustainability, food safety, and Italian culinary traditions, the event showcases Italy’s excellence in gastronomy, culture, and innovation. The 2025 edition, celebrating its 10th anniversary, focuses on “Italian Cuisine: Culture, Health, and Innovation”, emphasizing the Italian diet as a healthy, sustainable, and innovative model.
This year, the Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria, together with the Embassy of Italy, celebrates Italian culinary heritage, sustainable food systems, and international collaboration through four exciting events.
