A Conversation with Egle Oddo (Instagram Live)
The Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria is pleased to celebrate the Giornata del Contemporaneo – Italian Contemporary Art Day (celebrated from 3 to 9 October) – with a special online event: a conversation with Italian artist Egle Oddo, live on Instagram.
Preparing her arrival in South Africa as part of the Soil and Water project, a collaboration between the Nirox Foundation and the School of the Arts – University of Pretoria, Egle Oddo will share insights into her practice and current research.
Egle Oddo is a multidisciplinary artist whose work brings together environmental art, photography, installation, sculpture, and performance. Her research centers on “operational realism” and poetic narrative systems, bridging the natural world and scientific knowledge through symbolic and imaginative storytelling.
Her works have been presented at major biennials and institutions worldwide, and form part of several prestigious public collections.
