The Italian Cultural Institute of Pretoria, in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland, is delighted to welcome Swiss-Italian artist and illustrator Micha Dalcol to South Africa for this year’s Week of the Italian Language in the World.
12–18 October 2025
Theme: Italofonia – Italian Language Beyond Borders
Dalcol will spark imagination and play across Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Pretoria with a series of hands-on workshops and activities for students, families, and entire communities. With his project Viva la Creatività, he invites everyone on a lively journey where different visions collide—creating surprises, challenges, and unexpected sparks of inspiration that become opportunities for growth and joy.

Manifestare! – Reflection on protest, followed by a poster-making workshop

Viva la Creatività – Creative seminar for students and young creatives

At WITS, Dalcol will guide participants through his creative process, showing how collaboration thrives when different perspectives and disciplines meet. Students will experiment, take risks, and transform challenges into new possibilities—turning creativity into a space for dialogue, discovery, and innovation.
17 October – Johannesburg
Mystery Mission – An interactive adventure in a “Ticino full of secrets”
Teams of young detectives will follow clues, meet mysterious characters, and uncover hidden truths.
