We are pleased to announce the participation of the Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria in the upcoming Investec Cape Town Art Fair, taking place from 20 to 22 February 2026—the largest and leading international art fair on the African continent.
Celebrated for its focus on discovery, innovation and cross-cultural exchange, the Fair brings together prominent galleries and art professionals from around the world. The 2025 edition welcomed 125 exhibitors, 500 artists from 58 countries, 30 new galleries and more than 30,000 visitors, confirming its role as a key meeting point between the fast-growing African art market and the global art world.
For its 2026 participation, the Institute is delighted to invite Francesca Lanzavecchia, an internationally acclaimed Italian designer whose interdisciplinary practice spans product design, social design and research. Her work reflects a profound attention to human needs, care, and the social impact of design.
