70 years of fashion genius - creativity, tradition and manufacture

Within the framework of the celebrations for the Italian Design Day 2019, from 4 March to 7 April the exhibition "70 years of fashion genius - creativity, tradition and manufacture" will be open to the public at the Diamond Walk in Sandton City (Johannesburg). The show is organized by Consulate General of Italy in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Pretoria and Zebra Square.
The exhibition celebrates the Italian contribution in the history of fashion and illustrates how, in less than a century, fashion has become one of the main elements that characterize the identity of our country, transforming itself, through research and design, from the predominantly artisan sector to global movement.
The show hosts a collection of dresses, vintage pieces from the Italian Sartirana Arte collection, created by leading Italian designers (Armani, Versace, Valentino, Ferrè, Sorelle Fontana, Capucci, and many others) and worn by many celebrities in the last 70 years.
