AUTHENTIC ITALIAN COOKING & LANGUAGE COURSE - “A tavola!”

The Italian Cultural Institute, in collaboration with Prue Leith Culinary Institute, have launched a project called “A tavola!”

The project consists in a one-week course with Italian lessons held in the morning, followed by cooking classes taught by Chefs who have national and international experience and were trained in Italian cuisine by ALMA Scuola Internationale di Cucina Italiana. Each class focuses on a specific course in the classic Italian menu.

The course, A tavola!, takes place from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 15:00 and it is divided into two parts: from 9:00 to 11:00 the Italian language course at the Prue Leith Culinary Institute, which will focus on professional vocabulary useful in the kitchen; the cooking class, which will focus on regional specialities, will be held from 11:15 to 14:15 in the Prue Leith Culinary Institute kitchen. Each day concludes at 14:15 with students enjoying the meal they produced with Italian wine.
During the cooking course, students will have the opportunity to learn the basic techniques of Italian cuisine.

DURATION:

1 week - The course runs from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 15:00

09:00 – 11:00 – Italian Language Course

11:00 – 11:15 - Coffee Break

11:15 – 14:15 – Cooking Class

14:15 – Enjoying Lunch

COURSE FEES:

Italian Language Course: 10 hours (including all study material)

Cooking Course: 15 hours (including all ingredients, equipment required, lunch, wine, printed recipes and a Prue Leith apron)

Cost per person: R7 995.00
