GRANTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020 AWARDED BY THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers a grant opportunity aimed at young opera singers, for the academic year 2019-2020. The grants are awarded for a period of study of 9 (nine) months and they are organized by the “Accademia d’Arti e Mestieri dello Spettacolo Teatro alla Scala”.

Grants details

N. 11 bursaries of 9 months each in favor of those foreign opera singers who will pass the selections to attend the advanced course in Opera Singing. These grants are awarded for a period of study from 1 January to 31 September 2020. Grantees will receive a 900 Euros monthly allowance. The call for application will be open until 11 October 2019.

Grantees will need to provide for their own health and medical/accident insurance.

Scholarships offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

As a result of the formation of bilateral and multilateral agreements between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various other countries, Scholarships are offered to non-Italian citizens by Italy and to Italian citizens by other countries.

Each year the Italian Government offers South African citizens and Italian citizens with permanent residence in South Africa (I.R.E.) the opportunity to apply for scholarships to study in Italy.
