Love reading and meaningful conversations? The 2026 Book Club is the perfect opportunity to explore contemporary and classic Italian literature while meeting other readers in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Beginning on X April and running until October, we will meet once a month on Saturday, at the Italian Club in Pretoria, to discuss a selected book by an Italian author. Meeting dates are scheduled monthly by the participants themselves, in order to accommodate everyone’s needs.
Participants can read the texts either in Italian or in English translation, but the discussions will take place in English, creating a space where all readers can share ideas, interpretations, and perspectives.
This year’s selection brings together powerful voices and unforgettable stories from contemporary narratives to modern classics, and in October participants will have the opportunity to meet the author Cristina Ubah Ali Farah.
