The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, through its Directorate-General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation (DGCE), provides reimbursements to support the international mobility of researchers, academics, and cultural professionals.
These grants are funded under Chapter 2619/7 and aim to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of research, higher education, and culture.
Scope of the Grants
Contributions are awarded, upon application, to cover travel and accommodation expenses for:
- Researchers, lecturers, experts, cultural figures, and cultural operators invited abroad by foreign universities or cultural institutions
- Researchers, lecturers, experts, cultural figures, and cultural operators invited to Italy by Italian universities or cultural institutions
The programme is designed to foster academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and long-term international collaboration.
Eligibility
The grants are open to:
- a) Italian and foreign applicants residing in Italy for at least two years, invited by foreign academic or cultural institutions for study or research purposes
- b) Italian and foreign applicants residing abroad, invited by Italian academic or cultural institutions for study or research purposes
