ITALYOU – Italy in Your Future is a scholarship programme launched in 2023 at the initiative of the Italian Government and developed in collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
The programme aims to promote the Italian language and culture internationally by supporting the academic and professional development of young students from selected African countries.
ITALYOU offers scholarships for the enrolment in the Master’s Degree programme “Italian for Teaching to Foreigners”, designed to train qualified professionals in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language.
Now in its fourth edition, the programme has proven to be highly successful in strengthening Italian language education across partner countries.
For the academic year 2026–2027, the programme provides:
- 70 new scholarships
- 64 renewals for students currently enrolled in the third edition
The programme is open to candidates from: Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya, Morocco, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, and Tunisia.
The selection process is coordinated by the University for Foreigners of Perugia, in collaboration with partner institutions in each participating country.
