Course Content
Every day will start with a regional food and culture introduction, followed by the preparation of typical recipes and an Italian buffet served for lunch with Italian beverages.
After an Introduction to Italian Cuisine & Food Culture, we will explore recipes from Northern, Central and Southern Italy, focusing on Terroir and Culinary Influences, Typical Products, Traditional Recipes, Contemporary chefs to follow, Coffee Culture, as well as Food Culture: Food in Italian Art, Opera and Literature, Italian culinary idioms and expressions, La Commedia dell’Arte’s culinary characters and food in modern Italian films.
